Pretty wide open field with the top seeds playing late into the week of the prior tourney Blake and Davy (who supposively has a stress fracture).

Looking at the draw it seems some long shots can make a splash here.

Think Isner can go at least QF if he gets by Becker but you have to wonder if he's looking towards his first US Open. Young looked good today and he may have a chance against the defending champion Davy here. Also think the same about Kevin Anderson.

Anyone have any long shots that are worth taking a flier on?

5dimes will have theirs odds up soon and I'll post them when I get them.

I'm actually agreeing with the Racing Post's Tennis 'expert'. He's mentioned Mathieu and Ferrer as good shots. It's probably the kiss of death though, as he's a truly awful tipster.

I do think Mathieu has a great shot. Also think that Andreev might have a chance.

I think Karlovic has a decent chance of getting to the finals. He could meet Ferrer in the quarters.

I think I will keep a lower profile this week but watched this draw and funny how all the most potential winners are on the same side of the draw. Blake might tank because he was on the final next week and US-Open next week but he might also have something to prove and nothing easier than to do it in a tournament where the sharpest top players are out. It is possible Blake takes this seriously but it is hard to believe for me. Davydenko has definately something to prove after his "fixed" match talk and I would bet him. Last year this guy played huge amount of matches so I think fatigue is not a big reason for him and he takes this seriously.

Almagro played greatly last week and if he continues he might be the play but wrong side of the draw. Other side of the draw is more intresting and many potential gogs to the final but maby Thomas Johansson might be the play after his nice challenger tournament...but he is not a young anymore. Wawrinka has played very well lately but these hardcourts not so good for him.

Very hard tournament to predict after all.
